Regarding Banquet Events

Have more questions?  Just call Stephanie Bledsoe at 803-771-8767 and she will be happy to help you!  Let’s make this another record year at The Summit Club!

Q: Whom should I call to book an event?

A: Contact Stephanie Bledsoe, Catering Director at 803-771-8767 or email at stephanie-summitclub@sc.rr.com

Q: Can I sponsor someone to have an event at the Club?

A: Absolutely!  All you need to do is call Stephanie and let her know that you would like to sponsor someone.  Guests are potential Members, and allowing them access to the Club is one of the best ways to show off our wonderful services.

Q: Is there a room rental for Banquet Events?

For our Members, there is no room rental for any of the rooms.  Sponsored guests and reciprocal club members are required to pay a nominal room rental to cover costs of setup.

Q: Why must I have a set menu for my party?

A: Quality of food and service are our top priorities at the Club.  For larger events (usually groups of 12 or more people) it is necessary for us to control the menu to accomplish these goals.  Stephanie will be happy to work with you in setting your menu and overcoming any obstacles that may arise.

Q: How far in advance to I need to reserve space for an event?

As soon as you know your date!  Stephanie can reserve events up to two years in advance and calling as soon as possible is the best way to ensure your date is available.  This is especially true during “Wedding Season” and December.

Q: Why should I have an event at the Club?

Because, at The Summit Club, you have our word that we will do everything in our power to give you the best event possible.

Our fabulous Chef and his staff, attentive service staff, prestigious location and overall attention to detail will ensure that your event is a success.

Q: What is the Club's dress code?

Since every gathering at The Summit Club is an occasion, Club Members and their guests must dress in appropriate attire.

Appropriate daytime attire consists of collard shirt, neat pants and non-athletic shoes for gentlemen and similar attire for ladies. Coats worn over open collar shirts are especially approved dress. Men are not allowed to wear hats unless required for religious purposes.

Appropriate evening attire for gentlemen consists of a coat and collard shirt; a tie, while optional, is highly recommended. Ladies please dress accordingly.

In the Main Dining Room, Members and guests are encouraged to dress in their finest, although approved casual dress is acceptable. The proper atmosphere of this fine room shall be maintained, and Members are responsible to assure appropriate behavior and appearance of their guests and children.

No denim, tennis shoes or shorts are allowed in the Club at any time. Children are required to comply with all aspects of this dress code as well.

Club staff is instructed to strictly enforce this dress code. They should not be asked to grant exceptions. Thank you.
